Hiya,
This is an update on my active WIPs. After I looked at my photos, I decided that the "W" should stand for Wrinkles - I stitch in hand, and am too lazy to iron my pieces just for a photo - so I hope no one is offended by the messiness...
First up is one of the first sampler charts I ever purchased: It is the Time and Season Sampler by Moira Blackburn. The price sticker is dated 2-99. I am using 36 ct. Vintage Examplar linen and good old DMC. The colors are a bit funky - they remind me of the colors that were popular back in the 80's and 90's - I waffle back and forth on whether I like them or not. I estimate that I am almost 25% done with this one.
And this little charmer is Les Quatre Saisons by Isabell Mazabraud-Kerlan, using the charted threads and linen. The chart is in the Summer 2011 issue of SANQ.
Oh, I am now definitely jealous of my little brother - he just became a grandpa for the cutest little girl you've ever seen. I can't wait to see Sophie, hopefully this summer. I am hoping I get grandchildren before I get too old to enjoy them!
Well, that's it for today. Off to watch more Netflix drama series.
-Happy stitching! Margaret

Oh Margaret, you have three wonderful projects on the go. And in spite of this I can understand that you want to start something new, lol. I always want to start something new. And when the urge gets too strong I just do it, lol.
You think big don't you? I am impressed with your WIPs. I am getting ready to stitch a BIG one,
I love Moira Blackburn designs and I do like the colors.
How sweet, a little girl with a beautiful name. My hope is to someday, not too soon, have a granddaughter ~ since I am a bit too old to try for a daughter. :-)
Not sure I will see you at the NH show this year since I will be at a wedding in NJ 5/3. Horrible timing by that bride!
Hope all is well.
They are all so lovely! This reminded me to pull out my ATS and snap a photo today - you are much farther along than I am, I am still lost in the sky/Heavens... oy. Maybe will work on this tonight or on the weekend and see if I can get out of the sky. Just took a pic of mine to post to my blog if you want to peek. Very fun sampler, I agree!
Hi Margo,
I found you through Carol's blog (Garden of Stitches) and I'll be joinging you two soon in stitching on this sampler (I've just ordered my threads and expect to receive them soon).
Kind greetings,
Ann
Margaret, all three of those pieces are just beautiful! I have to say I love those soft muted colors on the Moira Blackburn chart
I love seeing stitchiers post progress on ATS, as it is a bit to big for me to stitch I get to live through everyone else :)
Have a great day!
Your samplers are beautiful!!!
I love all your samplers Margo and don't think Time & Season looks dated at all. I've always loved that sampler and had it on my wish list to stitch "someday". I hope you do get your grandbabies some day so you can be a stitching grandma!
Just found your lovely blog! I am doing the rotation thing as well and fighting the desire to start something new also. Making myself wait too but feel like when it's no longer fun, I will treat myself to a new start. It is supposed to be fun after all!! Laura
What beautiful needlework! Love your blog, Margaret.
